Kappa Krush

When it comes to being social chair for Kappa Kappa Gamma with my friend Tessa, going with what we did in the past really isn’t an option for us. In fact, we look at what we always do and make sure not to do it. Everyone loves something a little different, especially come senior year. While every other sorority on campus has a crush, we never did so this past Thursday was the day we changed that.
Krush: (n.) an event where girls can ask as many guys to be their dates as they want, the only factor limiting how many they ask is the amount of money they are willing to spend on t-shirts for their dates; when spelt with a “k”, indicates a Kappa Kappa Gamma crush.

With all of this 100 degree Texas heat, we decided to rent an inflatable waterslide. However, this was not your typical waterslide; rather it was a 3-story high, 85 ft. long chute! Everyone LOVED it!! We had snacks, music, and lots of mud to play in as a result of the water.
I krushed my roommate’s boyfriend’s house and his 2 next door neighbors.
Dave had class so he couldn’t make it, but Josh, Austin, Nate and I had a blast.

The only tricky part of the whole event was attempting to squeeze a sound system, 2 massive coolers, and 3 long tables into Tessa and my car after everything was done. I would say our first event of the semester was a success!
