The Brother is 21

Well, on September 22, my younger brother J.J. turned 21!  Crazy, I know.  Along with his friends, girlfriend, and her family, we took him to a hibachi grill in town.  The food was delicious, and then we headed back to his girlfriend Lara's house for some games and cake.  Fun night for everyone!

The hibachi grill was great, and so was the chef's performance!
We never knew J.J. was instrumental, but I guess when you bring out the birthday drums,
things change!

Hunting

There is a first for everything, and this year was a first for hunting.  Unlike in California, kids in Texas are raised to hunt, so Austin wanted to show me what the sport was all about.  We got me a little 20 gauge, some camo, and headed out to see how successful we would be.

Needless to say that Austin was able to meet both mine and his 15 birds per person quota.

I did however hit one bird, and even if it was sitting in a tree, we still say that it counts!

I had never eaten dove before, and in my opinion it really doesn't taste any different than chicken, but it was still pretty neat to say that we shot what we ate.

Michigan vs. Alabama

Back in September, Michigan played Alabama at the Cowboy's Stadium.  One of Austin's good family friends is a HUGE Michigan fan, so of course we had to go.

Kayron LOVED the Velvet Taco... a great little taco place in Dallas.

I have never been to the Cowboy's Stadium and let me tell you it was something else!  You almost got dizzy just looking down to the field because the seats went up so high, and the Jumbotron was enormous.

Attempting to not to fall down the stairs.

We all had a great time and enjoyed the game!
